What is the Nifty lot size in 2026?
The Nifty 50 F&O lot size is 65 units per lot (effective the NSE rebaseline from January 2026). One Nifty options or futures contract therefore covers 65 units of the index.
What is the Bank Nifty lot size in 2026?
The Bank Nifty F&O lot size is 30 units per lot. FinNifty is 60, Midcap Nifty is 120, and Sensex is 20 units per lot.
What day is F&O expiry now in India?
Since September 2025, NSE index and stock F&O contracts (Nifty, Bank Nifty, FinNifty, Midcap Nifty and stocks) expire on Tuesday, while BSE contracts (Sensex, Bankex) expire on Thursday. If the expiry day is a trading holiday, expiry shifts to the previous trading day.
Does Bank Nifty have weekly expiry?
No. Since the 2024–25 changes, only Nifty 50 (on NSE) and Sensex (on BSE) have weekly expiry. Bank Nifty, FinNifty and Midcap Nifty now have monthly expiry only, on the last Tuesday of the month.
How is the F&O expiry date calculated?
Weekly contracts expire on every Tuesday (NSE) or Thursday (BSE). Monthly contracts expire on the last Tuesday (NSE) or last Thursday (BSE) of the month. If that day is a holiday, expiry moves to the previous trading day.
