TradingView plans India: billing, chart limits and Kite differences

TradingView plans India prices depend on the billing cycle, subscriber status and tax at checkout. The India page shows Essential at ₹995 per month billed annually as a special price, not a ₹995 monthly commitment. Compare the limit you actually hit, such as simultaneous charts, alerts or intraday history, before judging an upgrade by the plan name.

Facts checked 14 Oct 2026 against 11 sources. No affiliate links. Not investment advice.

Read the billing period before the price

The INR prices below are a 14 October 2026 documentation snapshot. Annual cards display a monthly equivalent, with payment for the annual period; monthly billing is a different option. The page labels the annual amounts special prices. An offer displayed today does not prove your renewal price or account-specific eligibility.

This comparison uses TradingView's official India page and help articles. There was no purchase, checkout, alert-timing experiment or chart-performance test. The examples describe needs to compare with the documented limits, without claiming that a more expensive plan improves trading results.

Ultimate needs extra care: its visible annual card shows a rounded ₹17,333 monthly equivalent, while the page's published pricing data contains different amounts. We could not establish which amount an Indian account can purchase. Its exact monthly and annual bills are therefore left for checkout confirmation, including subscriber status.

INR subscription amounts by billing cycle

Checked 14 October 2026. Website configuration and annual cards; taxes extra where applied. No checkout quote or guaranteed renewal rate.

    Essential₹1,295₹995₹11,940
    Plus₹2,595₹2,095₹25,140
    Premium₹5,095₹4,195₹50,340
UltimateConfirm at checkoutCard shows ₹17,333, rounded; confirm eligibilityConfirm at checkout

For Essential, Plus and Premium, annual base = published annual monthly equivalent × 12; no tax included. Ultimate's rounded card and differing published amounts do not establish an exact offer for a particular account, so no monthly bill or annual total is quoted for it.

Which limits change the work you can do?

Count the resources in your intended workflow. Charts per tab means simultaneous panes in a layout; saved layouts means different arrangements you can reopen. They answer different questions. More saved layouts does not necessarily let you view more charts at the same time.

Price alerts, technical alerts and watchlist alerts have separate limits. TradingView classifies an indicator, drawing or strategy condition as technical. A price-alert allowance cannot simply be spent on any technical condition.

The matrix below covers the limits most directly relevant to chart study and monitoring. Historical bars are an intraday quantity, not guaranteed years of data. The technical-alert cell for Basic is marked unavailable in the official comparison. Read the seconds and ticks entries carefully: access to one interval type does not imply access to the other.

The pricing page supplies chart, indicator, layout, alert and interval limits; the history help supplies intraday bar allowances and the daily-interval distinction. The alert-types help explains separate quotas. Watchlist-alert counts are separate and omitted here. Bar figures are base allowances; the history help notes several additional bars to the beginning of the applicable period.

One annual chart subscription is not the whole data bill

For a non-professional user wanting Essential plus both listed BSE packages, this reproduces the defined total in the existing data guide. It is an annual subscription plus twelve monthly data payments, before tax.

    Essential annual base
    ₹995 × 12 = ₹11,940
    BSE stocks package
    ₹422 × 12 = ₹5,064
    BSE futures/options package
    ₹176 × 12 = ₹2,112
    Specified components combined
    ₹11,940 + ₹5,064 + ₹2,112
    Annualised base for these components
    ₹19,116

Keep NSE entitlement separate from chart features

The India coverage page lists real-time NSE as included in paid plans and free delayed NSE at 15 minutes. It lists BSE stock and BSE futures/options packages separately. Having enough chart panes does not answer whether your particular symbol is receiving real-time data.

The market-data delay guide owns the detailed licensing discussion and the official-document conflicts around defaults and broker verification. Read it if the chart's status differs from the entitlement you expected. This page does not claim to have timed a quote or restored a live feed.

The worked sum above assumes the quoted components apply for the whole stated period. It is not an exchange fee, brokerage total or a guarantee that the checkout offers a combined annual bundle. If you need only one BSE package, your required components differ. Professional exchange-data fees also need their own check; an Ultimate subscription does not automatically make all feeds free.

Five trader workflows, mapped to constraints rather than a winner

    1. 1

      Learning from one chart

List the studies you actually use and whether they fit the free chart limit. A clean chart may meet your study needs without many indicators. Check the data status separately if the exercise requires current prices. This is a feature-budget question, not a claim that fewer studies make a trader more successful.

    2. 2

      Intraday monitoring on several panes

Count the simultaneous panes and required alerts before comparing Essential, Plus or Premium. Match each alert to its proper quota and expiration requirements. If your broker's embedded charts already provide the needed arrangement, confirm what extra standalone capability you would use before duplicating the subscription.

    3. 3

      Swing review across saved arrangements

Saved layouts may matter more than second-based intervals. Separate a watchlist view, a higher-timeframe arrangement and your review view, then see which limit is reached. TradingView says daily-based intervals show all available data; the intraday bar cap should not be read as a fixed daily-history cap.

    4. 4

      Options or short-interval chart study

Decide whether you need a spot chart, an individual contract or options analytics. Second-based intervals and tick-based intervals are distinct features with different plan inclusion. Neither promises full order-book data, executable liquidity or a useful signal. The contract and feed coverage need checking alongside the chart setting.

    5. 5

Pine strategy research and systematic review

A larger loaded-bar allowance can change the study sample, but the result still needs its assumptions examined. Historical bars on a chart and Deep Backtesting are distinct modes. The backtest versus live results guide covers execution gaps; this plan comparison establishes no tested strategy or profitable return.

TradingView inside Zerodha Kite versus the website

Zerodha's help says Kite uses a built-in indicator library, while TradingView's website includes a public library where users share indicators. Some website indicators therefore are unavailable within Kite. The shared charting name does not mean the two environments have identical features, subscription entitlements or script access.

Kite's own documentation says its embedded TradingView can show up to 8 charts together and save up to 10 custom layouts and templates. These are broker-library facts, separate from the standalone subscription table. Do not assume purchasing a standalone tier upgrades Kite, or that an embedded feature proves the same allowance on a free TradingView.com account.

If your question is whether the paid standalone platform adds anything to your existing setup, make a short list: public scripts, required alert conditions, historical sample and saved arrangements. Check each in the environment you intend to use. This guide verified the documentation, without logging into Kite or comparing two running charts.

Kite chart questions: what Zerodha's help can explain

Zerodha documentation read 14 October 2026. No paired live-screen experiment.

    QuestionDocumented explanationUseful comparison
Why do indicator values differ?ChartIQ and TradingView have independent implementations; calculations, defaults and data handling can differ.Compare indicator inputs and settings before judging a value.
Why can intraday candles differ across platforms?Zerodha explains that different platforms capture different tick points, affecting minute/hourly candles and intraday volume.Match symbol, interval and session; retain the actual fill record.
Why is a public website script missing in Kite?Kite uses the built-in library rather than the website's public indicator library.Confirm availability in Kite itself; a website listing is insufficient.

Rows respectively use kite-indicators, kite-candles and kite-library. Zerodha's broad sampling explanation is not a measured guarantee about every platform or every daily candle.

Candle and indicator differences: settings and data checks

Zerodha attributes indicator differences between ChartIQ and TradingView to the libraries' implementation, default parameters and data handling. Its separate cross-platform chart article explains tick sampling as a source of intraday candle differences. Those explanations are documentation statements, not results from a controlled comparison conducted here.

When investigating a mismatch, keep an evidence note of the exact instrument, expiry if relevant, interval, timezone, session and indicator inputs. A change in one of those may make the pictures incomparable. An open candle can also be incomplete; compare the same completed period before calling a historical discrepancy.

Keep execution evidence in the broker's records rather than replacing it with a later chart. A chart subscription adds documented viewing resources, but a larger quota cannot establish that a transaction occurred at a displayed historical point. An upgrade is worth assessing against the specific resource missing from your workflow.

Check these before changing a subscription

    • Website or mobile billing channel

TradingView says mobile-store prices may differ because of platform payment systems, policies, fees and tax presentation. Compare the same period and status on the channel you will actually use; do not convert a foreign web price into a claimed India quote.

    • One resource that the current setup cannot provide

Name the actual constraint, such as a saved layout limit or unavailable interval. If the issue is the data entitlement, resolve that separately from indicator capacity.

    • Initial price, renewal and tax line

Retain the offer and final invoice details. A special annual equivalent is not proof of the next renewal amount. This guide has no account-specific checkout evidence or tax-inclusive quote.

    • Review routine and records

Decide which charts or settings you need to save for later review. Keep the broker's fill times and prices alongside your notes so a different chart view does not silently change the record.

A chart plan does not keep your decision record for you

OneTradeJournal is a manual trading journal with no broker sync, import or TradingView connection. It can record your entry and exit, strategy, mistakes and notes; it does not place orders, supply signals or run backtests. Paid AI is fallible and only knows what you logged.

When you compare subscriptions later, use a specific record of which resource limit interrupted your work. That is more useful than treating every unused feature as a benefit. The broader TradingView versus GoCharting comparison and platform guide collection cover different software questions.

This page's prices and limits need a quarterly refresh and a fresh check before purchase. No affiliate income is received, no plan is endorsed, and no numerical plan allowance is evidence of trading skill or future returns.
