GoCharting vs TradingView for India: data access, order flow and yearly cost
GoCharting vs TradingView for Indian F&O comes down to which data and tools you need. GoCharting's India plan grid lists real-time NSE and MCX data even on its Free plan, with footprint and CVD charts only on Premium (₹15,069.60 a year). TradingView's coverage page gives real-time NSE from its Essential plan up, and its pricing page includes volume footprint only from Premium up (₹50,340 a year). We compared each company's own pages and prices on 14 October 2026; we did not test speed or place orders.

Match the plan to the question you need answered
A trader who needs a standard chart and someone inspecting volume within each bar may need different subscriptions. Broker order entry introduces another requirement. Compare those jobs separately before comparing a single price.
The figures below were checked on 14 October 2026. We used GoCharting's production India page and the public catalogue it loads, plus TradingView's India pricing, coverage and feature documentation. We did not connect a broker, buy plans, collect chart captures or measure fills.
Our delayed-data explainer owns the detailed licensing discussion. The comparison here concentrates on what the two providers document, the cost of the relevant subscription and the questions still needing an account check.
Two India Premium subscription totals
Footprint and CVD: same names, possibly different maths
A footprint displays volume within a bar across price levels. CVD, cumulative volume delta, accumulates a defined difference between buying and selling volume. Two platforms can use the same name and still count buying and selling volume differently.
TradingView explicitly describes classifying footprint volume from intrabar price movement. Its guide also explains that historical calculations may use different intrabar intervals as available detail is exhausted. In plain terms, it estimates buying and selling from price moves inside the bar; the guide does not say it uses an exchange record of who bought and who sold.
GoCharting's plan page documents its order-flow features and separates its Level 1 feed from Level 2 through a broker connection. That feature list does not say enough for us to tell whether its numbers are worked out the same way as TradingView's, so we do not rank either one for accuracy.
For a comparison in an account, preserve the instrument identifier, contract, session, timezone, chart interval, historical window, delta convention and data status. Compare like observations before interpreting different colours or totals as a platform defect.

Annual subscription arithmetic with the boundaries left visible
India pricing checked 14 October 2026. GoCharting numbers come from the official public catalogue used by the pricing client. TradingView numbers are its displayed special annual prices. No currency conversion, brokerage or data add-on is included.
- GoCharting Lite annual totalCatalogue amount 1,103,760 minor units ÷ 100; not an order-flow equivalent to Premium.
- ₹11,037.60
- GoCharting India Premium annual totalCatalogue 1,506,960 ÷ 100; monthly plan listed ₹1,495.
- ₹15,069.60
- TradingView Essential annual totalStandard-chart/NSE-data entry point under coverage wording, not footprint entitlement.
- ₹995 × 12 = ₹11,940
- TradingView Premium annual total
- ₹4,195 × 12 = ₹50,340

- ₹50,340 − ₹15,069.60 = ₹35,270.40
Preserve the bill's currency, term and tax treatment
GoCharting's static price cards arrived as loading placeholders. We followed the production page's pricing client to its public catalogue and verified the rupee amounts there. The catalogue gives complete annual totals, which are more precise than multiplying a rounded monthly display. We did not use a development-domain price or a third-party estimate.
Its annual tax treatment was not established from the returned catalogue, so no GST is added in this guide. TradingView says a location-based sales tax may be added. The totals therefore describe the displayed subscription amounts before a final checkout comparison. They are not verified tax-inclusive invoices.
TradingView's Essential amount agrees with the existing delayed-data guide. Premium is a different tier, used here because of the footprint requirement. Paying for the charting tier does not automatically establish all exchange entitlements or a broker's execution charges.
For a longer ownership horizon, the AmiBroker, Spider and TradingView cost guide treats software, data and upgrades as separate lines. Avoid comparing a bundled annual amount with a software-only licence.
Before paying for an order-flow workflow
The contract and feed match
Use the actual dated futures or options contract you intend to research. A cash index or continuous series is not automatically a substitute. Keep each platform's visible data status with the comparison.
The calculation convention is recorded
Check how volume is classified and whether historical granularity changes. CVD reset points and session boundaries should be explicit before comparing totals.
The required feature unlocks in the account
Open the exact footprint or analysis view needed. A Premium label on an unauthenticated marketing page is evidence of a documented tier, not a completed entitlement check.
The invoice explains each component
Preserve the subscription, exchange data, tax and any broker-side cost separately. A no-extra-platform-fee statement does not mean every component is free.
Trading from the chart: which brokers GoCharting lists
GoCharting's India broker page lists nine Indian brokers: Dhan, Groww, Upstox, Angel One, FYERS, 5paisa, Finvasia (Shoonya), Kotak Neo and Zerodha. We have not tested any of these connections. A name on that list shows that GoCharting offers the connection; it does not show that your account can place every order type through it.
Before using a connection, verify the broker, enabled segment, account permissions, supported order operation and applicable subscription. Keep a failed or unsupported operation in the record instead of treating a successful login as an execution test.
The broker order-type comparison explains why a platform button and a broker-supported operation can differ.
A small comparison session with a useful output
- 1
Write the required job
Decide whether the exercise concerns standard charts, footprint history, CVD conventions or a documented broker connection. Keep the chosen requirement fixed while checking tiers.
- 2
Use a closed research window
Preserve an old window and the same instrument settings on both platforms. Save the source settings beside any capture; a later chart reload may not recreate an earlier entitlement or display.
- 3
Record the unresolved difference
If the values disagree, trace feed status and calculation definitions before deciding which is wrong. When the documents do not settle the difference, keep it open and avoid a winner claim.
A decision follows the requirement and the evidence
The checked documents support a lower-cost GoCharting Premium subscription amount for its advertised India order-flow bundle. They also support different free-data and plan boundaries. They do not establish which interface you will understand better or whether one makes better trading decisions.
For TradingView subscriptions beyond the figures used here, see the plan comparison. Retain the purchase-date terms whichever service you choose. This comparison can support a question to verify in an account; it cannot replace the account's current entitlement, a final invoice or a reproducible chart-method comparison.
