Tradetron vs Streak vs AlgoTest after the retail algo rules
Tradetron vs Streak is first a comparison of who places the order: Tradetron documents automated broker execution and a strategy marketplace; Streak describes alerts and manually placed trades. AlgoTest adds time-based options testing and Signals AI with documented live execution. This three-way comparison checks those roles, exchange records and costs, without naming a winner or claiming a hands-on test.

Compare order control before comparing subscriptions
An algo uses preset trading rules. An alert tells you a condition has occurred. An automated execution service can submit an order through the broker connection once its conditions and permissions are met. A marketplace is another layer: it lets people offer strategies to other users. These functions have different access, cost and review requirements, so a single popularity score would obscure the comparison.
The criteria here are the documented order route, selected broker access, exchange-listed provider status, subscription limits, separate strategy costs and how AI-generated rules can be inspected. Sources were checked on 14 October 2026. We did not open accounts, buy plans, connect a broker, generate an AI strategy or place an order. Vendor descriptions establish the documented workflow, not measured reliability or profitability.
This is one three-way comparison. Tradetron has documented multi-broker execution and marketplace features; Streak provides a broker-linked scanning and rule-alert workflow; AlgoTest documents an options-testing workflow and built-in indicator strategy creation. Which matters depends on the task you need to perform. None is described as a route to assured returns.
Order routes, broker examples and exchange records
Checked 14 October 2026. Exchange fields are dated snapshots; vendor-listed integrations do not prove that every account or strategy is live and approved.
| Platform / legal entity | Documented order control | Selected access evidence | Exchange snapshot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tradetron / Neutrino Trading | Paid or eligible broker-specific automatic trading; separate Live Offline mode submits no exchange orders. Marketplace available. | Vendor integration page lists Indian examples including Zerodha, Upstox and Dhan. Account-specific access untested. | NSE file: M/s Neutrino Trading Private Limited — Provisional. BSE table: Neutrino Trading Private Limited, code 73 — Final. |
| Streak / Streak AI Technologies Private Limited | Current risk disclosure says trades must be manually placed through the broker. No unattended automatic execution claimed. | Vendor help says free for Zerodha users; Zerodha's dated announcement confirms that access context. | No matching Streak legal-entity name found in these two provider snapshots. This does not establish illegality or a legal exemption. |
| AlgoTest / Oraph | Signals AI can lead to forward testing or broker live execution; its plan includes execution. Time-based products are separate. | Published setup directory includes Dhan, Angel One and Upstox examples. Specific permissions and account eligibility untested. | NSE file: M/s. Oraph Private Limited — Provisional. BSE table: Oraph Private Limited, code 72 — Provisional. |
Tradetron's pricing and integration pages supply its workflow and broker examples; its footer and the Northeast Broking order connect the brand to Neutrino. Streak's risk disclosure supplies its workflow and company name, while its official help and Zerodha announcement supply the free-access context. AlgoTest's Signals overview and pricing supply its workflow and Oraph name; its setup directory supplies the broker examples. All status and unmatched-name checks use the NSE and BSE lists. A provider row does not establish separate Research Analyst registration (registration to provide research).

What the dated TradeTron-related SEBI order found
The quoted statement concerns certain strategies hosted on TradeTron and comes from SEBI's order in respect of Northeast Broking Services Limited, in the matter of TradeTron and other algo platforms. The order records a show-cause notice (request for an explanation) of 3 October 2024 and examines the broker's association with the platform. It is not a current performance description of every strategy on Tradetron.
The broker argued, among other things, that integration had not been completed and that clients had not used the service. SEBI rejected the relevant defence, found breaches of the stated broker obligations and imposed ₹1,00,000 on that broker in paragraph 25. The order's subject and penalty must remain clear: it is a formal penalty decision about that broker, not a penalty imposed by this order on every Tradetron user or on the platform itself. A later appeal outcome was not established in this research; no claim is made that the order is the last legal development.
The underlying circular, SEBI/HO/MIRSD/DOP/P/CIR/2022/117 of 2 September 2022, is broader than a restriction on promises of profit. For brokers providing algorithmic-trading services, paragraph 4.1.1 says they shall not “directly or indirectly make any reference to the past or expected future return/performance of the algorithm”. The circular also addresses association with platforms making such references. Keep that historical warning separate from today's exchange-list status. A later provider entry is not a statement that advertised returns have been endorsed.
This comparison does not repeat marketplace return claims, rank creators or select a strategy to subscribe to. A product may offer a marketplace while the costs, representations and permissions of a particular listing require separate scrutiny.
One illustrative month: the common brokerage assumption
For comparison only, assume 40 single-leg options round trips, each with one entry and one exit, and ₹20 brokerage per executed order. These are invented workload and brokerage inputs, not a broker tariff or a trade recommendation.
- Executed ordersNo split fills, extra legs, amendments or replacement orders assumed.
- 40 × 2 = 80
- Assumed brokerageThe same assumption is used in every cost row.
- 80 × ₹20 = ₹1,600
- Still outside this numberNo premium, turnover, segment tariff or contract note was specified, so a complete trading bill cannot be calculated.
- Trading levies, taxes and other account charges
Published plan amounts added to that assumed workload
Prices checked 14 October 2026. These are partial cost worksheets, not complete monthly bills or a cheapest-plan ranking.
| Compared context | Published platform amount | Known amount + assumed brokerage | What still needs pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tradetron Starter, standard paid route | ₹300 monthly; one live bot. An annual equivalent is a different billing choice. | ₹300 + ₹1,600 = ₹1,900 | Subscription tax inclusion unverified; trading levies, optional strategy subscription, backtests and AI usage excluded. Broker-specific free offers may change the plan charge. |
| Streak for a Zerodha user | Free platform access in Streak's help and Zerodha announcement. | ₹0 + ₹1,600 = ₹1,600 | Trading levies and account charges remain. This is manual-order access, not equivalent unattended automation. |
| AlgoTest one-month Signal Plan | ₹1,599 + GST for 30 days; execution included. | ₹1,599 + ₹1,600 = ₹3,199, before the stated plan GST | Trading levies, extra AI usage and any separate broker/API (software connection) charges excluded. Other AlgoTest products and broker offers have different scope. |
Tradetron amounts use its pricing page's monthly billing option. Streak access uses its official help answer, available in search, and Zerodha's announcement. AlgoTest amounts use its dedicated Signals pricing page. The common ₹1,600 comes from our explicitly assumed inputs. GST means goods and services tax; no tax percentage is assumed for a quote saying only +GST.
Tradetron pricing counts running bots, not saved ideas
Tradetron's pricing page distinguishes unlimited strategy templates from the number of live bots (running strategies) a plan can run. Its published monthly amounts include Starter ₹300 for one live bot, Starter+ ₹850 for three, and Retail ₹1,200 for five. The annual cards show monthly equivalents alongside a yearly bill, so those displays should not be mistaken for a month-to-month payment. The worksheet uses the monthly option.
The Free plan is described around Live Offline, a mode that records the strategy's activity without sending exchange orders. Listing strategies for others on the marketplace appears in Creator plans. Buying access to somebody else's strategy is a separate question from paying for your own execution capacity; the worksheet assumes no paid marketplace strategy. Tradetron also advertises broker-specific free live access. Eligibility, market coverage and the actual account bill were not tested here.
These distinctions are useful when a trader has several saved ideas but intends to run only one, or wants to publish rather than only run a strategy. They are documented limits, not evidence that more concurrent bots improve results. We do not attach a profitability score to a larger plan.
Streak and AlgoTest: check what the quoted plan buys
Streak's free statement is for Zerodha users
Streak's help answer, updated 19 November 2025, states that access context and preserves trading charges. Zerodha's 17 January 2024 announcement corroborates it. An old third-party monthly price is not used as today's competing quote.
Streak's order responsibility stays with the user
Its current disclosure says strategies, scanners and alerts support decisions, while trades must be placed manually through the broker. A practice run or an alert does not establish that an actual order was sent.
AlgoTest's Signal Plan includes execution
The dedicated Signals pricing page quotes ₹1,599 + GST for 30 days and ₹6,999 + GST for 180 days. These are different terms; the six-month plan is not a monthly renewal quote.
Signals and time-based backtests have distinct allowances
The dedicated page gives five weekly Signals backtests on the one-month plan and unlimited Signals backtests on the six-month plan. It also explains that a Signals run consumes a backtest from both the Signals and time-based pools. Do not assign the general free allowance to every workflow.
A broker-specific execution offer can exclude Signals
AlgoTest's Upstox offer explicitly includes 920 strategies based on time rules, and portfolios, while excluding Signals-based algo trading, forward testing, ClickTrade tools and RA Algos (research analyst strategies). It does not replace the Signal Plan quote used above.
Tradetron vs TradingView: a chart condition needs an order route
A chart alert and the system that receives it are separate parts of a workflow. AlgoTest's dedicated plan page distinguishes Signals Classic, which uses TradingView or Chartink messages, from its built-in Signals AI. It says one Signal Plan covers both. Tradetron's integration page also points to a separate API route. That documentation does not establish that an arbitrary third-party bridge is authorised, secure or compatible with the trader's broker.
Someone comparing Tradetron with TradingView should therefore specify the charting task, the message route, the broker execution service and the account conditions. A chart subscription is not evidence that a provider or a strategy has the necessary permissions. The separate TradingView plans guide covers its chart tiers and data costs rather than rebuilding them here.
The same distinction matters for Streak versus AlgoTest. A tool that leaves an order decision with the trader and a tool that submits it automatically can be compared on features and costs, but their responsibilities are different. The comparison does not label manual confirmation a defect or automation a trading advantage. It records who must act and what the sources describe.
AI rule-building evidence, without invented test results
Documentation checked 14 October 2026. No prompt was submitted, no generated output collected and no accuracy score assigned.
| Product context | Documented capability | Limit of this comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Tradetron AI connector | Describes turning plain language into a strategy template, validating it, editing it and running historical tests. | Its connector FAQ says it cannot take a strategy live, place live orders or move funds. That connector boundary differs from Tradetron's live execution platform. |
| AlgoTest Signals AI | Turns plain-English instructions into indicator logic on an editable Canvas (visual rule editor); supports refinement and a separate trade configuration. | Documentation notes omitted parameters can receive defaults. We did not check a generated Canvas against a prompt. |
| Streak | Read sources establish rule construction, scanning, backtesting and alerts. | A comparable conversational AI strategy builder was not established in those sources. This is an evidence gap, not a claim that no such feature exists. |
| uTrade AI, additional context | Its own page describes conversational equity/options strategy construction and support for English, Hinglish and major regional languages. | Outside the three-platform cost model. Hindi output quality, regional-language completeness and any trial entitlement were not tested or established here. |
Tradetron's AI connector reference supplies its row; AlgoTest's AI Agent guide and Signals overview supply its row. Streak's risk disclosure and Zerodha's announcement establish its documented functions. uTrade's AI Strategy Builder page supplies the additional context. These are vendor capability descriptions, not outputs produced by this review.
A proposed prompt audit: compare the rule with the saved logic
- 1
Use an explicitly historical, non-executing draft
Author-written audit prompt, not a trading recommendation: Using only a historical test window ending 31 August 2026, draft alert logic for NIFTY spot on five-minute closed candles. EMA means exponential moving average. Entry is EMA(7) crossing above EMA(19); exit is crossing below. Do not choose option contracts or enable execution. These dates and parameters are invented test instructions, not observed market data. No tool was given this prompt.
- 2
Inspect the meaning of crossing
The proposed check would distinguish a new crossing from merely remaining above or below. It would inspect instrument, candle period, whether each candle has finished, indicator periods and entry/exit direction. This is a checklist of possible translation errors, not errors observed in any named product.
- 3
Compare the stored draft, not just the chat reply
A future run should retain the original words and inspect the saved rules or Canvas, including defaults and any trade configuration. A reassuring chat response alone would not show that the saved object matches the instruction. No saved strategy or screenshot was collected here.
- 4
Record usage and permissions separately
AlgoTest funds AI chat using its own AI usage tokens, and its plan page describes buying more. The cost of a reply can vary, so no fixed prompt bill is inferred. The tool's ability to draft logic should also be checked separately from any permission to change an account or execute orders.
What remains untested before a personal choice
The tables establish documented roles and selected access examples. They do not establish uptime, execution delay, rejection frequency, stop execution quality, support response time or the accuracy of AI-written rules. A provider's list of broker logos does not answer those questions. Neither does an exchange provider entry prove the status of a particular strategy or your account's permission to run it.
For historical testing, the separate options backtesting tools guide compares documented engines and settings. This page does not repeat that guide's data-resolution table or turn historical returns into a platform ranking. For actual charges, the trading charges changelog keeps the statutory rates and dates; no complete contract-note estimate is invented from an unspecified premium.
A concrete choice starts with a written requirement: the broker account you already have, the market and contract type, whether you want to confirm each order, the number of concurrent strategies and whether you need a marketplace or an AI builder. Then establish the relevant published plan and any unresolved account condition. Unknown details should remain questions, rather than being scored as absent or silently treated as included.
This guide has no affiliate income and gives no overall winner. Its documented strengths are different: Tradetron's execution/marketplace structure, Streak's broker-linked alert workflow, and AlgoTest's options-testing and built-in Signals workflow. Those descriptions do not predict which will produce a better trading outcome.
